Why was a participant not invited or included properly?
Sometimes, participants may have been included in the spreadsheet but did not receie an invitiation email, are not included in the participants' table, or are not included in the key statistics. This is a rare edge case but can be rectified.
Please double check the participant's information in the spreadsheet first to see if there is any issues. For example, using commas instead of full stops, invalid email addresses, forgetting to include a name, typos in the email address, and trying to use not permitted partiicpant categories are common errors.
If the participant does not receive an initation email in their inbox or spam folder, please copy and send their personal link manually from the participants' table. Alternatively, delete their row from the Participants' table and manually (re-)invite them (see the next paragraph).
If the participant does not show up in the participants' table, please use the individual participant invite feature to manually invite them.
Some things to consider:
Are you using the latest spreadsheet? This is available at: https://tinyurl.com/CTE-Spreadsheet-Template. Occassionally, this is confused with older versions of the spreadsheet template.
Was the participant included in the spreadsheet?
Was an email address, full name, and a participant category given for the participant?
Are you uploading the right spreadsheet? Try to ensure they have vastly different and very meaningful names.
Was the participant category given one of the four valid options? The options are: Team Member, Direct Report, Team Commissioner, and Stakeholder, and they must be capitalised and spelled as such, without any spaces. The data validation in the spreadsheet should prompt you, if opened in Microsoft Excel.
Was the participant category spelled correclty?
Did the participant's email address accidentally contain commas instead of full stops?
Was the participant's email address spelled correctly?
Was a full name given for the participant?
Are you using English letters? Other alphabets may not be supported (but should work usually).
Has the participant checked their inbox and spam folders?
Has the participant tried adding us to their 'allowed senders' list in their email address?
Is a corporate email filter blocking the email from arriving before it reaches the participant's inbox?
